The county can offer a wealth of industrial, religious and social heritage all waiting to be explored by residents and tourists alike.

The approach adopted by adventa in promoting the history of the area is community-led. adventa believes that those who will explain their heritage best are the residents; often the most fascinating history is passed down through the ages by word of mouth, through stories, tales and legend. Many of the areas of genuine historical interest are accessible only by ancient footpaths and trails, in short, one must take to the land to discover the legends.
